Jeffrey is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner treating children, adolescents and adults. Broad experience includes six years nursing in the following areas:  critical care, emergency department as well as floating to cardiology, pulmonology, renal, orthopedic and surgical units. Additional experience was gained in a Crisis Nurse role responding to a variety of needs including mental health crises in a hospital setting

Educational background includes degrees in Biology (B.S.), Nursing (B.S.N) & Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (M.S.N.). Previous work as a corporate trainer with a focus on adult learning styles and techniques has served Jeffrey well in helping patients gain a deeper understanding of their mental health including medication, psychotherapy and adjunctive treatment options. 

Most recently Jeffrey has worked for the largest substance treatment and mental health organization in Iowa serving children, adolescents and adults. Experience includes inpatient, outpatient and residential settings as well as training and experience in telepsychiatry. Jeffrey has a passion for gaining additional knowledge and training from authoritative organizations to further enhance evidence based practice with the aim of enhancing patient outcomes. Recent material include selections from: Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy, Neuroscience Education Institute and various texts of interest.
